About Medovaya Kaplya (Медовая Капля, Honey Drop)
‘Medovaya Kaplya’ is a Russian commercial variety, that was introduced to North America by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus in 2009. First offered in the Seed Savers 2010 Yearbook by Carolyn Male of Salem, NY. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces big yields of yellow pear-shaped fruits. The flavors are complex, fruity with hints of citrus, and they will become a favorite in your fresh salads. Midseason, about 78 days to maturity.
