About Marizol Red
May be the the best tasting of the Marizol varieties from the Black Forest region of Germany by Joe Bratka of New Jersey. A family heirloom from the 1800s brought to the U.S. by Joe’s grandfather. Seeds introduced to SSE in 1992. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce large, 14-16 ounce, slightly-flattened, bright-red, beefsteak tomatoes with outstanding flavor with juicy sweetness and complementing acidity. A great, full flavored tomato for sandwiches, salads, or cooking. A good choice to harvest for farmer’s markets.
