About Marina’s Black
The seeds were sent to Tatiana Kouchnareva by Marina Popova, Karaganda, Kazakhstan in 2010 as a ‘no-name’ variety, with a description “Chernye” , which mean ‘black’ in Russian. Tatiana named this tomato Marina’s Black to honor the seed source. Introduced commercially by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2016. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces 6 oz., black/purple, round, oblate, fruits with smooth shoulders with very good, smoky flavors with an acidic bite.
