About Mahoning Valley Beauty

‘Mahoning Valley Beauty’ is a very meaty heirloom tomato variety from the Mahoning Valley of Pennsylvania, USA. Seeds were received by Craig LeHoullier in 2018 from Mimi Koch. She is growing this variety each year since early 1930. First introduced commercially by Victory Seed Company in 2020.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces a high yield of red, medium to large (5-11oz./150-300g), paste-type fruits with smooth, glossy, semi-thick skin and buttery flesh texture. Low in acid, sweet, and rich tomato flavors with slightly salty notes. Excellent choice for cooking, canning, perfect for salsa, sauce, or fresh tomato juice. Midseason, about 78 days to maturity.
