About Maerchensnack (Märchensnack)
‘Maerchensnack’ is a remarkable, cube-shaped variety developed and commercialized by the ‘Kleverhof’* seed firm in Elmenhorst, Germany.
Vigorous indeterminate plants with regular leaf foliage produce orange pepper-shaped tomatoes weighing 1-2oz./20-50g. The fruit has firm, meaty, and umami flesh with a fruity flavor and occasionally empty seed cavities. An exceptional selection for true gourmets, these unique tomato stuffers are sure to wow food-loving family and friends at a picnic or barbecue party. This variety has good resistance to Late Blight and Blossom End Rot and ripens for enjoyment during mid-season, about 70-80 days after transplant.
