About Lyubimyj Prazdnik (Любимый Праздник)
‘Lyubimyj Prazdnik’ is a Russian commercial variety, created by Ugarova Svetlana Viktorovna, Dederko Vladimir Nikolaevich, Postnikova Tatyana Nikolaevna, and included in the Russian State Register in 2008. First introduced in North America by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus, and listed at SSE in 2008 by Tatiana Kouchnareva of Tatiana’s TOMATObase and Nancy Kirch.
Determinate, compact (about 1.2 meters tall), regular leaf plants produce a high yield of flavorful, meaty, medium to large (7-12oz./200-350g), pink, blunt hearts with good tomato flavors. Good slicer and canning tomato. Midseason, about 78 days to maturity.
