Livingston’s Ideal AKA Ideal. Introduced in 1930 by A. Livingston. Description from 1935 Livingston’s Catalog:
“Livingston’s Ideal. (Globe type). Introduced by us in 1930. May properly be termed “a Red Globe”. Has strong, healthy plants that show no signs of blight. Globe shaped fruits of medium size; bright scarlet; firm flesh. About same season as Bonny Best. Fruit clusters are set closely on stalk, making increased yield under glass. 63 days.”
Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces medium-sized, red, round fruit with good, robust, flavors.
