About Linnie’s Oxheart
Introduced by “Big Red” Boynton Jr. of Bethelridge, Kentucky, who got his seeds from an elderly neighbor, Linnie Sears, who had been growing this variety for years. First introduced in the 2008 SSE Yearbook by Susan Anderson of Bastrop, Texas. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant with big sprawling vines yield good crops of 10-20 oz., red, heart-shaped tomatoes that are deliciously full of well-balanced tomatoey flavors. An American favorite for many years. A great slicing tomato for sandwich and salads and sauce.
