About Lida Ukrainian

‘Lida Ukrainian’ is a family heirloom from Ukraine that was brought to America by Ukrainian immigrants prior to the 1920’s. The original name was lost. First offered in the Seed Savers 1993 Yearbook by Carolyn Male of Salem, New York, seeds from Andy Durbak of Albany, New York.
Determinate, regular leaf plant is a very great producer of heavy crops of medium-sized 4-6oz./100-180g, red, round to oblate fruit, in clusters of 3-5. Meaty, long-lasting fruit is robust with old-time tomatoey flavors making them versatile for use in fresh, salads or cooked dishes. Midseason.
