About Libby’s Pride

Brought to the Cleveland, Ohio in the 1960s from the Campobasso Province of Italy by Donaldo Morganti. Mr. Donaldo Morganti gave seeds to a business partner named Libby, who in turn gave the seeds to Carl Skalak who named the variety ‘Libby’s Pride’. Mr. Skalak gave seeds to Dan Misztal who ultimately gave seeds to Carolyn Male who sent the seeds to Mike Dunton of Victory Seed Company. Introduced commercially by Victory Seed Company in 2011.
