About Lescana Heart
Likely related to Lescana. Originated from Martin Longseth of Wisconsin, who offered the seed to Garden Web members in 2005. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with regular wispy foliage produce 10-16 oz, irregularly-shaped, red fruits. Some are hearts, and some are more round. Fruit may develop some yellow shoulders if fruits are exposed to direct sunlight. Meaty but also very juicy, with delicious balanced taste that gets sweeter later in the season. Quite early compared to other large-fruited tomato varieties.
