About Kuma (Кума)

‘Kuma’ is a very prolific tomato variety from Ukraine*, that was bred in the late 1990s. Large (17-21oz /500-600g or more), slightly flattened and waved on the shoulders bright red beefsteaks with excellent, old-fashioned tomato taste and strong aroma. Meaty yet juicy flesh. Ripe tomatoes keep well at room temperature for about 2 weeks. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants. Midseason, 75 days to maturity.

*There is also a Russian hybrid tomato available under the same name, that was included in the Russian State Register in 2017. The difference is that the Russian variety is a very early determinate plant and produces medium to large (4-7oz./100-200g), red fruits.
