About Korolevich (Королевич)
‘Korolevich’ is a Russian commercial variety, that was created by a group of breeders from the Altai Region: Kudryavtseva Galina Aleksandrovna, Fotev Yuri Valentinovich, Altunina Lyubov Petrovna, Kotelnikova Marina Aleksandrovna, Kondakov Sergey Nikolaevich. They worked on its creation in the ‘Central Siberian Botanical Garden’, Agrofirm ‘Semena Altai’ and the ‘Kondakov Sergey Nikolaevich Farm’. In 2008, the variety was registered in the ‘Russian State Register’. The plant is a regular and wispy leaf, indeterminate, and grows up to about 1,8 meters high. Beautiful, pink heart-shaped fruit weighing about 8-12 oz. or more. Glossy and thin skin and very tasty, sweet and juicy but not watery flesh, tender, just melts in the mouth. Small seed chambers with very few seeds. Midseason, about 75 days from transplant.
