About Kiwanis (La Kiwanienne)
‘Kiwanis’ is a very rare tomato variety developed from the cross made in 2010 between ‘Orange Queen’ and ‘Noire de Crimee’ by a gardener, member of the ‘Les Jardins du Kiwanis’ association from Belgium. In 2014, during the first tomato fest in Brussels, he shared the fruit with ‘Cultivetarue’.
Beautiful, large (5-18 oz./150-500g), oblate fruits with unique, dark orange/golden/brown coloring outside and inside. Firm and juicy flesh with outstanding, sweet tomato flavors and a nice citrus aroma. Perfect for fresh in salads and on sandwiches. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants. Midseason, about 65-75 days to maturity.
