About Khokhloma (Хохлома)

‘Khokhloma’ is a Russian commercial variety developed by the Gavrish Seed Company and included in the Russian State Register in 2004.
Tall, (2 meters tall and more), indeterminate and vigorous plants with regular and wispy leaf foliage produce medium (4 oz./100g), 10-12 cm long, paste type, elongated, red tomatoes with long after shelf life – ripe fruits can be stored up to 2-3 weeks after harvest. Sweet and well-balanced tomato flavors. An excellent tomato for cooking, drying, or canning. Because of the firm, dense flesh and thick skin, they are also great for whole fruit preservation. Resistant to TMV, fusarium, cladosporium. One of the most prolific paste-type varieties. Midseason, 75 days after transplant.
