About Kentucky Plate
‘Kentucky Plate’ is an outstanding heirloom tomato from Kentucky, USA. First offered in the Seed Savers Yearbook in 1997 by Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinois. The original seed came from Archie Hook, Elwood, Indiana. Gorgeous, large (400-600g), pink beefsteak with an excellent, well-balanced sweet and sour taste, and old-fashioned tomato aroma. Best for fresh, on sandwiches or in salads. Indeterminate, potato leaf plant with very good yield. Late, about 90 days after transplant.
