About Kanner Hoell
German Origin. Seeds donated by Reverend C. Frank Morrow of Minnesota. In his donation letter, Reverend Morrow stated that the variety originated in Germany and has been in his family since 1916. He also noted that ‘Kanner Hoell’ was his and his wife’s favorite tomato and that they enjoyed it both for fresh eating and canning. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces 16-20 oz., 4-5″, red, beefsteak fruit. Double fruit common. Good flavor, low acid, moderately sweet. Matures mid-season.
