About Jeff Davis
Said to be a very old heirloom variety that honored the Confederacy’s only president. First offered in the Seed Savers Yearbook of 1991 by Donald Sparks of Pikeville, Kentucky. A large potato leaf heirloom variety that produces 10-18 ounce, pink tomatoes that have a creamy flesh, few seeds and are deliciously robust with well-balanced, sweet to acidic, tomato flavors. A particularly good variety for the southern, warmer climates.
