About Izumrudnoe Yabloko
Izumrudnoe Yabloko AKA Emerald Apple. Russian origin. The name means “Emerald Apple” in Russian. First introduced to SSE in 2008 by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus and Norbert R. Pikovsky of Pennsylvania. Compact indeterminate, regular foliage plant produces 8-12 oz. beefsteak tomatoes that mature to light green color with slight yellowish blush. Good smoky flavor and buttery texture, similar to other green-when-ripe varieties.
