About Islandaise
French variety. ‘Islandaise’ means ‘Icelander’ or ‘Icelandic’ in French. Seed originally from Norbert Parreira, Helliner, France, 1992. First offered in the Seed Savers 1994 Yearbook by Bill Minkey of Darien, Wisconsin. Compact determinate, bushy plant with regular foliage produces heavy, early fruit set of small, 15-20 grams, of round fruits with very good sweet flavors.
