About Improved Colossal Red
The result of selective breeding from an old variety named ‘Richmeat’, ‘Improved Colossal Red’ was part of a 1948 group introduction by the old Burgess Seed and Plant Company of Galesburg, Michigan. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces medium to large, red, beefsteak tomatoes with a pleasurable meaty texture, and a perfect balance of sweet and tart flavors.
