About Illini Star

An open-pollinated variety developed by Merlyn Camp; Mary Ann Niedens. Indeterminate, regular-leaf tomato plants that yield very large crops of 6-8 oz. round, deep-red tomatoes with an excellent sweet flavor and strong disease and split resistance. An early producing tomato. A good canning tomato and perfect for eating fresh of the vine. Also a good market tomato. This is a “star” in any garden.
