About Honey Drop
Honey Drop AKA Medovaya Kaplya (Russian for Honey Drop). A Russian commercial variety. Introduced to North America by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus in 2009. First offered in the Seed Savers 2010 Yearbook by Carolyn Male of Salem, NY. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces big yields of yellow pear shaped fruits (but a little rounder and a clearer yellow other yellow pears). The flavors are complex, fruity with hints of citrus, and they will become a favorite in your fresh salads.
