Lloyd Duggins of Mauckport, Indiana, USA received ‘Holy Land’ tomato seeds from a woman who obtained this variety from a Palestinian restaurant. Lloyd later made it available in the 1985 Seed Savers Exchange Yearbook.
This indeterminate, regular leaf plant yields large to extra-large (11-25oz./300-700g), red, and slightly wavy on the shoulders beefsteak-type tomatoes. The fruit has a smooth texture, lots of juice, and delicious tomatoey flavors with good acidity. Midseason, about 78 days to maturity.
