About Helen’s German
Originated in Germany. This tomato variety had been grown for 20-25 years in Iowa and passed on to relatives by the Navarre family in Madison, Wisconsin. Helen Navarre shared the seed with Sue Gronholz of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, who introduced it in the Seed Savers 1997 Yearbook.
Indeterminate, tall, potato leaf plants produce good yields of 10-16 oz., large, pink, beefsteak tomatoes with excellent sweet flavor.
