About Gruschevij
Russian origin. The name can be translated as ‘Pear-shaped’ from Russian, and refers to the fruit shape which resembles a pear.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces very high yields of 1-4 oz., lovely red, pear-shaped fruits, some with slightly ruffled shoulders, others are smooth, with green shoulders that disappear when fully ripe. Fruits grow in clusters of 3-8. Very meaty flesh and few seeds. Very good sweet flavor. Excellent canner or paste tomato, but also good fresh. Very good keeper.
