About Grosse des Marais
‘Grosse des Marais’ is a very old variety from France, Champagne region. It almost disappeared, saved cultivated in the marshes in Reims. Very beautiful, large (300-800g), pink fruits, round and slightly flattened with ruffled shoulders. Tall, indeterminate, regular leaf plants with high yield (about 5 fruits in each truss). Excellent, sweet, and rich tomato taste and very meaty yet juicy flesh. Midseason, about 80 days to maturity.
