About Greenwich
‘Greenwich’ is an outstanding tomato variety developed by Tom Wagner of Everett, Washington, USA*. These beautiful tomato seeds were first offered in the Seed Savers 1989 yearbook by David Cavagnaro of Decorah, Idaho, USA. It is an indeterminate, regular leaf tomato plant that produces medium (6-8 oz./180-230g), round, oblate, green-when-ripe fruits with yellow skin and superior flavor. About 85-90 days to maturity.
* This is what Tom writes about the history of ‘Greenwich’ tomato on the ‘Tatermater’ forum (March 9, 2012):
“I have had GREENWICH since the very start of my Tater Mater Seed Catalog back in 1983. It was a firmer version of ‘Evergreen’ with the introgression of a USDA breeder line from the early 70’s”.
