About Green Lantern Lights
‘Green Lantern Lights’ is an outstanding creation from Tom Wagner of Everett, Washington, USA. This variety has Tom’s well-known ‘Green Zebra’ tomato as a parent*. Tom shared seeds of ‘Green Lantern Lights’ in a very early stage, that’s why there are many segregations from this line in circulation among tomato growers around the globe.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plants are loaded with extremely beautiful, medium-sized (4-5oz./100-150g), oblate or almost round fruits with golden skin and dark green and red stripes. Green, beautifully marbled with red striking and swirling flesh makes the fruits very decorative when sliced. Delicious, sweet, and tart flavors. Midseason, about 78 days to maturity.
*This is how Tom writes in the ‘Tatermater’ forum (April 26, 2012): “Green Lantern Lights has Green Zebra as a parent. The seed I sent out is F-2 by design in order to foster lots of recombination. Selection of outstanding individual vines is the idea for further selection.”
