About Frontenac
Originated in Quebec, Canada. First introduced in the Seed Savers 2009 Yearbook by Neil Gillard of Ontario, Canada, who obtained the seed from Manon Collard of Longueuil, Quebec in 2007. Introduced commercially by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2015. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with very good foliage cover produce 3-5 oz., red, tomatoes with smooth shoulders with very good flavors, more acidic than sweet. (Flower trusses are large and beautiful, with a good fruit set.) Fruits are a reliable producer even in cooler summer climates.
