About Flavour Steak
Bred by Peters Seed and Research and released in 1994. First offered in the Seed Savers 1995 Yearbook by Bill Minkey of Darien, Wisconsin. Bill Minkey and Chuck Wyatt described it as a potato leaf, although other SSE members and Marianna’s Heirloom Seeds offer a regular leaf variant that originated from Don Kellums. Both Don Kellums and Bill Minkey obtained their original seed from Peters Seed & Research (CV Pe6) but reported different leaf types.
(Potato leaf variant is probably correct.) Indeterminate, potato leaf plant produces a high yield of 6-12 oz, red, ruffled, fruits. Beautiful tomatoes. Very good acidic flavor, meaty and juicy.
