About Fire (Yellow Fire)

‘Fire’ tomato is a very unusual variety created by Fred Hempel of Artisan Seeds. Elongated, roma-type shape and beautiful striping on medium-sized (4-7oz./100-200g.) fruits. Striped, bright orange/yellow colored outside fruits have very tasty, sweet, and juicy yet meaty bi-color flesh (orange/yellow with red marbling). Fred Hempel writes: „Looks like a paste tomato, but with texture and flavor more similar to a beefsteak.“ ‘Fire’ tomato is one of the first varieties developed by ‘Artisan Seeds’. It is an ‘Artisan Seeds Legacy’ tomato and it was used as a parent for a very well-known and popular ‘Blush’ tomato. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with very high yield. Midseason, about 80 days from transplant.
