A Russian heirloom. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant with grayish foliage produces 2 1/2″, oval to globe-shaped, purple tomatoes (quite striking with the dark skin and contrasting red and green interior) in clusters of six. Solid fruit with an excellent meaty texture and sweet, complex flavors, with a nice flavorful finish but not acidic or tart. Keeps very well on the vine or on the counter.
