EM-Champion

Russian heirloom from the seed collection of a Russian breeder Alexandr Yabrov. The original Russian name is Em-Chempion. First offered in the Seed Savers 2009 Yearbook by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus. Sprawling determinate plants with wispy, regular leaf foliage grow up to 3′ tall and produce high yields of 6-12 oz., red fruits, from perfectly shaped hearts to slightly ribbed/ruffled. Delicious balanced flavor, meaty flesh. Very few seeds make it a real challenge to collect save many seeds for this variety. Excellent for growing in pots.
