About Elser Farm’s Brown Derby

‘Elser Farm’s Brown Derby’ is a very beautiful creation of Maria and Darrell Elser of ‘Elser’s Country Farm’ in Yucaipa, California, USA. This tomato was developed from the cross made between ‘Paul Robeson’ and ‘Aunt Ruby’s German Green’ tomato. Very unusual colored, dark orange and golden brown outside and inside – beautiful ochre coloring with a touch of dark green on the shoulders. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants, that produces medium to large (8-14 oz.) beefsteak-type tomatoes. Very meaty, dense flesh, sweet and mild flavor. Midseason, about 80 days from transplant.
