About Elizabeth (Elizabeth Roma, Elizabeth Stefancsik)
‘Elizabeth’ is a rare heirloom tomato that was developed by Mike Stefancsik* and named after his wife Elizabeth.
A vigorous indeterminate tomato plant with regular leaves producing copious quantities of red (some fruits will have pretty yellow splotches on their skin, while others will be solid red), oval-shaped fruit weighing about 2oz./50g each. Fruits have a very good, slightly sweet flavor. This versatile variety is ideal for drying, sauces, preserving, and it cuts perfectly for salads. Early season, 60 days after transplant.
* There is also a hybrid tomato variety ‘Elizabet F1’ (Elizabeth, Элизабет) developed by Russian breeder Kiramov Oleg Dmitrievich in 2016. It was introduced by the ‘Partner’ seed company and added to the Russian State Register in 2017. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant with oval-shaped, 1oz./30g, red fruit with a well-balanced flavor. Resistant to late blight, Apical and Root Rot, Bacterial Leaf Spot, and Bacterial Wilt. Early season.
