About Dwarf Sunny’s Pear

‘Dwarf Sunny’s Pear’ was developed by the members of the Dwarf Tomato Project from a cross made by Sherry Long between ‘Sunny’ family and ‘Orange Pear’ and named ‘Fancy’ family. ‘Dwarf Sunny‘s Pear’ was selected and named by Susan Oliverson. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Susan Oliverson, Craig Le Houllier, Bill Minkey. Introduced commercially by ‘Victory Seed Company’ in 2019. Rugose, regular leaf dwarf-type plants are excellent producers, loaded with small (1-2oz./30-60g) yellowish-orange, plum-shaped fruits. Sweet and fruity flavors. Midseason, about 75 days from transplant.
