About Dwarf Speckled Heart
‘Dwarf Speckled Heart’ was developed by the Dwarf Tomato Project from the Speckly family, selected and named by Craig LeHoullier. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Nancy Ruhl, Debra Kennedy, Carolyn Keiper, Gina McDermott, Brinda Rimaya, Susan Oliverson, Mickey Pasco-Powell, Robin Bort, Paul Fish, Jim Shaloiko, Reitzel Deaton, and Bill Minkey. This variety was first introduced commercially by ‘Victory Seeds’ in 2021.
Rugose, regular leaf plants produce a high yield of medium to large (5-12oz./130-350g), red, heart-shaped, fruits with golden stripes, meaty flesh, and intense, well-balanced, tomato flavors. Excellent for paste or juice. Mid-season, about 75 days to maturity.
