About Dwarf Snakebite
‘Dwarf Snakebite’ was developed by the members of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’ from a ‘Grizzly’ family. The original cross was made by Patrina Nuske Small between ‘New Big Dwarf’ with ‘Grozny’91’. ‘Dwarf Snakebite’ was selected and named by Amanda Fischer. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Patrina Nuske Small, Amanda Fischer, Craig LeHoullier, Michael Volk, Sherry Long, Damon Huck, Shawn Conant, Bill Minkey, Mike Dunton, and John Dunton. This variety was first introduced commercially by Victory Seed in 2020.
Rugose and regular leaf dwarf-type plants produce medium to large (4-16oz./120-450g), pink, oblate tomatoes with a tangy and tart taste. Midseason, about 80 days after transplant.
