About Dwarf Scarlet Heart
‘Dwarf Scarlet Heart’ is a result of a cross between ‘Roza Vetrov’ and ‘Anna Banana Russian’ made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2007 (‘Nosey’family). Developed by the members of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’: Craig Le Houllier, Linda Black, Laurie Sutherland, Nancy Ruhl, and Bill Minkey. Final selection made by Linda Black, who named this variety and introduced commercialy by ‘Victory Seeds’ for the 2016 gardening season.
‘Dwarf Scarlet Heart’ is a compact, determinate, dwarf-type plant with regular, rugose leaf foliage. This is one of the haviest producers in the ‘dwarf’ tomato family. Huge yield of small (3-6 oz.), red, heart-shaped fruits with very good balanced sweet and sour taste. Midseason, about 80 days from transplant.
