About Dwarf Russian Swirl

‘Dwarf Russian Swirl’ tomato was developed by the members of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’ from the cross made between ‘Golden Dwarf Champion’ and ‘Orange Russian 117’ in 2005 by Patrina Nuske Small and named ‘Dopey family’. ‘ Dwarf Russian Swirl’ was selected from that family and named by Craig LeHoullier. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Craig LeHoullier, Patrina, Ray South, Jay Scott, Amanda Fischer, Antoniette Koshykar, Mike Mauer, Doug Frank, and Nancy Ruhl.
‘Dwarf Russian Swirl’ tomato was first introduced commercially by ‘Victory Seed Company’ in 2016. Very productive, determinate, dwarf-type plants with regular and rugose leaf foliage, produce medium to large-sized (4-11oz./100-300g), oblate, yellow and red bi-colored fruits. Delicious, sweet, and fruity tomato taste. Late, about 87 days after transplant.
