About Dwarf Numbat

‘Dwarf Numbat’ was developed by the members of the Dwarf Tomato Project from a cross made by Ray South between the ‘Cheeky’ family and famous ‘Green Zebra’ and named ‘Quirky family’. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Craig LeHoullier, Patrina Nuske Small, Lisa Moore, Susan Oliverson, Shawn Conant, and Bill Minkey. Named by Ray South. Introduced commercially by ‘Victory Heirloom Seed’ in 2019.
Regular and rugose leaf, dwarf-type plants grow up to about 1.2 meters tall. Small (2 -3 oz./50-80g) round, green when ripe fruits with yellow epidermis and dark green stripes outside, and juicy, green flesh. Mild and slightly tart tomato flavors with fruity notes. Great for fresh, in salads, and as a snack. Early to midseason, about 70 days after transplant.
