About Dwarf Maura’s Cardinal

‘Dwarf Maura’s Cardinal’ was developed by the members of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’ from the cross between ‘Summertime Gold’ and ‘Sleeping Lady’ made by Patrina Nuske Small and named ‘Dainty’ family. This variety was selected from that family and named by Susan Oliverson. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Suzan Oliverson, Craig LeHoullier, and Bill Minkey. Commercially introduced in 2019 by Victory Seed Company of Molalla, Oregon, USA.
A rugose, potato leaf indeterminate dwarf setting round, red, medium-sized (4-7oz./100-200g) fruit with a delicious, well-balanced flavor. A superb addition to summer salads. An abundant producer with the first ripe fruits ready for harvest in the middle of the season, about 75 days after transplant.
