About Dwarf Marong Moon
‘Dwarf Marong Moon’ was developed by the members of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’ from a cross made in 2009 by Ray South between ‘Snow White Cherry’ and a red, F2 selection from the ‘Sleepy Family’ and named ‘Snowy Family’. ‘Dwarf Marong Moon’ was selected from it and named by Gregg Muller. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Gregg and Susan Oliverson, Patrina Nuske Small, Linda Black, Bill Minkey, and Craig LeHoullier. This variety was first introduced commercially by ‘Victory Seeds’ in 2021.
Rugose, potato leaf dwarf type plants produce small (2-3oz./30-60g), pale yellow, round fruits that are juicy, have sweet, well-balanced tomato flavors. Mid- to late season, about 83-87 days to maturity.
