About Dwarf Goldfinch

‘Dwarf Goldfinch’ was developed by the members of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’ from the original cross made by Sherry Long between the Dwarf Tomato Project’s ‘Sunny’ family and ‘Orange Pear’. It was named ‘Fancy’ family. ‘Dwarf Goldfinch’ was selected and named by Craig LeHoullier. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Susan Oliverson, Dan Follett, Dee Sackett, Suzanne Dzejachok, Hudson England, with the final seed selection grown out by Bill Minkey. Introduced commercially by ‘Victory Seeds’ in 2019.
Dwarf, 1.2 meters tall, potato and rugose leaf plants produce medium to large (5-12 oz./150-350g), bright yellow-colored fruits with a pink blush on the blossom end. Good, sweet tomato flavors. Midseason, about 78 days after transplant.
