About Dwarf Awesome (Awesome)
‘Dwarf Awesome’ tomato is a part of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’, Soren Linnemann created the “Ivalde” family by crossing ‘Vjerino Paradajiz Sjeme’ with ‘Wherokowhai’ in 2011. Many volunteers worked on the Ivalde line, but Linda Black was solely responsible for the selection and stabilization work for ‘Dwarf Awesome’. In recounting the naming process, Linda noted that it was her daughter that called it “awesome” and the name stuck. Introduced commercially by ‘Victory Seeds’ company for the 2018 gardening season.
Dwarf-type plant with regular and rugose leaf foliage, produces a very good yield of medium-sized (6-9oz./160-250g), round and oblate fruits with deep yellow and red bi-color outside and inside. Delicious, sweet and fruity flavors, but not mild, with a little zing. Midseason.
