About Dwarf Andy’s Forty
‘Dwarf Andy’s Forty’ tomato was developed by the members of the Dwarf Tomato Project from a cross made by Sherry Long between ‘German Red Strawberry’ and Livingston’s ‘Dwarf Stone’ in 2012 and named ‘Softy Family’ family. ‘Dwarf Andy’s Forty’ was named by Susan Oliverson. Additional breeding work was provided by Susan Oliverson, Dee Sackett Craig LeHoullier, Bill Minkey. Introduced commercially in 2018. Regular and rugose leaf, dwarf-type plants produce a very good yield of small (4-7oz./100-200g), brown fruits with green stripes. Sweet, rich, and complex tomato flavors. Midseason, about 75 days after transplant.
