About Dubrava (Дубрава, Dubok, Дубок)

‘Dubrava’ is a Russian commercial variety, created by Nasrullayev Niyazi Mekhyeddin in 1993. It was included in the Russian State Register in 1997. First offered in the Seed Savers 2007 Yearbook by Dan and Val McMurray of Wynndel, British Columbia, Canada, who got seeds from Natalia Ochagova, a Russian lady in Michigan.
Determinate, but quite vigorous plants with regular leaf foliage produce large crops of 2-4 oz., round, oblate, red fruits that are blemish-free. First fruits have beautiful green shoulders when they just start to turn color. Very good balanced flavor, more sweet than acidic.
