About Dorothy’s Green
Introduced as “Green” to SSE in the early 1980s by Dorothy Beiswenger of Crookston, Minnesota. Dorothy shared seeds with Craig LeHoullier in 1993. Craig added the prefix “Dorothy’s” to distinguish it from the other green varieties listed in the SSE and tie it to her as the original source.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces a good yield of 6-12 oz., medium-sized, green-when-ripe fruits with yellow skin and amber blush, bright green flesh. Very good flavor, spicy and sweet.
