About Domingo

‘Domingo’ is an impressive producer of extra-large, strongly ribbed, pink tomatoes. It is a family heirloom from Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy, that was brought to the USA by Vincenzo Domingo, who grew it for many years and shared the seeds with this competition giant tomato growers in 2011. This variety was named by Dale Thurber of ‘Delectation of Tomatoes’ after consultation with Vincenzo Domingo and his daughter Maria.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plants are loaded with extra-large (18-71oz./500g-2kg), pink, strongly ribbed beefsteaks with very meaty, dense, almost seedless flesh. Very good, well-balanced tomato taste and good, old-fashioned aroma. Midseason, about 75 days after transplant.
